Senior Software Engineer
Blaze – Remote (contractor)
Owned the architecture and implementation of critical identity, compliance and risk services, from domain and data modeling to security, observability and testing, and performed frequent code reviews for the team.
KYC platform: multi-tenant identity verification | built from scratch; main author
- Designed the platform core: a modular, multi-tenant identity verification service serving every client with isolated PostgreSQL data and an immutable audit trail.
- Built authentication (login, MFA, JWT sessions, API keys) and role-based access control (RBAC) across client companies with Redis caching, hardened against session hijacking and brute force and covered by unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
Back-office, risk monitoring and AML for the Blaze platform (regulated iGaming)
- Implemented anti-fraud AML rules (excessive winnings, multiple bank accounts, source of funds) with event-driven processing; the daily routine flags 20,000 users in about 175 ms.
- Refactored the back-office and risk monitoring dashboard with design and performance improvements: monitoring endpoint 26–36% faster and a dashboard that took about 15 s sped up with parallel requests, validated with benchmarks of up to 3 million records.
- Built from scratch the dashboard the compliance team uses to monitor players, alerts and transactions (MFA, role-based access, Storybook design system) and wrote over 100 unit and end-to-end tests.
- Built internal tools: an Electron app for service health and AWS deployments, and a DevOps request tool integrated with Jira and AI assistants via MCP.
